Halation Gallery browses and organizes the photos and videos from any camera app on your Android phone. The Android manifest declares no INTERNET permission, so the app is technically incapable of making a network request. Nothing to sign up for.

Help test the beta

Halation Gallery is on Google Play's closed-test track. The build is stable enough for daily use, but real phones surface real bugs — different capture apps, mixed EXIF quirks, older hardware. If you're willing to shake a few loose on your own device, the invite gets you the build.

To opt in, email gallery@orezeno.app with the Gmail address you use on Google Play — I'll add you to the tester list and Play will send you an install invite. The testing guide covers what to try and lists gaps that aren't bugs yet.

A private locked-folder scope with per-file encryption at rest, and a user-controlled backup with rotation and scheduling. Both are designed but not yet implemented; the shape lives in PLAN-locked-folder.md and PLAN-backup.md in the repo.

What Halation Gallery won't do

Send your photos anywhere. The manifest declares no INTERNET permission, so the app is technically incapable of making a network request. This is a stronger guarantee than a policy promise — even a compromised build could not reach the network without the OS blocking it.
Ask for an account. There isn't one. No sign-in flow exists in the code.
Show ads or in-app purchases. Halation Gallery is free and has no monetization surface. Not "free with ads" — free.
Auto-generate "Memories" or highlight compilations. Reels are quiet time-based groupings of your actual photos, not curated montages with music and transitions.
